Description - ExternalThe RN shall perform the nursing process within the scope of his/her practice as a Licensed Registered Nurse.
The RN prescribes, delegates and coordinates nursing care as well as serves as a member of the healthcare delivery team to utilize interdisciplinary input to plan, implement and evaluate care.
Appropriate action based on the assessment.
Assesses patients' needs and develops a plan of care based on those needs with the input of the patient, family, and other health care team members.
Directs and performs patient care, including vital signs, personal hygiene, dietary needs, etc.
Assesses critical changes and notifies the Physician appropriately.
Documents findings accurate and timely.
Accurately charts with attention to medical/legal implications.
Informs physician of changing status of patient's condition and assists physician in assessments and procedures; known terminology, therapy, and techniques for emergency procedures, placement of fetal scalp electrodes, placement and management of intrauterine pressure catheter.
Accurately administers medication and accurately administers IV therapy and blood products.
Records and carries out physician orders.
Admits and discharges patients, follows the established plan of care using the nursing process and a multidisciplinary approach which incorporates the patient's correct stage of growth and development for the neonate, adolescent, and adult.
Provides opportunity for neonate's integration into the family unit.
Provides emotional support and maintains a protective environment.
Assesses for bonding problems and intervenes appropriately.
Demonstrates knowledge of breast feeding and infant feeding.
Demonstrate knowledge and competency of Fetal Monitoring internal and external, documentation, interpretation and recognition of abnormal findings.
Completion of levels I and II.
QMP Observes professional ethics in maintaining confidential information concerning the financial, personal, medical or employment status of patients/families at JPMC.
Must follow and enforce accepted safety practices for patients and hospital.
Must report safety hazards and initiate appropriate action.
Must participate in safety instructional programs.
Performs the Nursing Process with the following:
Plans, implements patient care and teaching based on a total assessment and the age of the patient.
Evaluates and documents patient response, monitors and recognizes changes in physiological and psychological status, and takes certified.
Demonstrated ability and knowledge of preparing room and sterile table for the birthing process.
Demonstrate knowledge and competency of administering medications used in ante-partum, induction, pre-term labor and pregnancy induced hypertension.
Demonstrates knowledge and competency of post-partum monitoring and recovery, post-op C-Section, pre-op and post-op circumcision of newborns.
Demonstrates knowledge and competency of the assessment and care of the newborn including cord care and circumcision.
Performs patient care safely and follows established policies and procedures or standards of care.
Responsible for the provision of care and operation of the specific unit.
Accurately controls and records narcotics assigned to the unit.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Must be a Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky with 2
years' experience and a Bachelor's Degree or Associates Degree in Nursing.
Must be CPR/BLS certified and IV Therapy certified.
Completion of Neonatal Resuscitation Program required.
Basic Skills required include; organizational, customer relations, the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English, the ability to follow written and oral instruction, computer training.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
